Mrs. Edde’s
7th/8th Grade
Language Arts

My name
is Angie Edde. I began teaching at MHS in 1995. After a year at Pulaski
Elementary School, I returned to MHS in 2005. I have taught a range of grades
at Minor Hill, having taught everything from 4th to 8th
grade. I found my “true love” in junior high.
I
graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree from Martin Methodist College. I received
my Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision from Tennessee State
University. In 2005, I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with
an Education Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am married to
Chuck Edde, and we have two children.
I
am a true “Grammar Geek.” Language Arts is my favorite subject. My goal is
to help all of my students to understand the elements of grammar as well as to
communicate well through their writing. Please encourage your child to come
to me if he or she is having trouble with this subject area. If you have any
questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at
aedde@giles.k12.tn.us.
The
Language homework for the week can be found in the “Homework” section of the
school website. I also periodically include extra credit along with the
homework. The students can complete this for extra points towards tests. All
extra credit should be turned in by the Thursday afternoon bell.
Please check out the “TeacherEase”
program. This is a great way for parents to stay abreast of their child’s
grade as well as behavior. If your child has not brought you a note
concerning this program, please send me an email at
aedde@giles.k12.tn.us
so that a free account can be set up for you.
