Staff=20 Spotlight

Donna Russell Cobb = graduated from Giles County = High School=20 in 1976; Memphis State University in 1980 with a BS in Biology; Middle = Tennessee=20 State University with a secondary education endorsement; Tennessee State = University with a Masters of Education and is currently enrolled in = Ed.S program at Tennessee State University. She = began=20 teaching and coaching at GCHS in 1984. She taught Chemistry, Biology, = Physical=20 Science, Algebra I, Geometry, Physics and for many years Principles of=20 Technology. 2001 was a = banner year=20 for her as a softball coach. = Her=20 softball team won the state championship and she was chosen the = mid-state Coach=20 of the year! She has been = an=20 assistant football coach for five years. =20

Donna married Bubba Cobb and = has 5=20 beautiful children. Giles = County=20 High School has had at least one Cobb child enrolled since 1998! Mrs. Cobb stated: =93I absolutely love my job, = my colleagues=20 and most of all my students. = Being=20 surrounded by such great kids makes everyday a blessing and every minute = of my=20 career important.=94

Shelia = Mittlesteadt is the Career and Technical = Education=20 (CTE) Specialist for Giles County. =20 Although she works closely with both GCHS and Richland, her = office is=20 located in the GCHS CTE building. =20 She has worked in the CTE department for almost twenty = years. Shelia is a Lawrence County, = TN, native=20 and is the youngest of five children. =20 She and Bob Mittlesteadt have been married for thirty years and = are very=20 proud of their family: = Wes and wife=20 Abby with son Liam; Tyler and wife, Melissa.

Shelia began singing Southern = Gospel with=20 her family when she was four years old. =20 She has sung with Jan and Barry Bass, and more recently with her = brother=20 and sister as "The Virgil Wilson Trio." =20 Currently, she enjoys singing in the choir and solos at First = Baptist=20 Church, Pulaski. Shelia = stated, "My=20 Christian witness is through singing and striving daily to be a positive = example=20 to others."
